Sandwich
The Sandwich That Started it all!
Several years ago now and long before I became acquainted with
vegetarianism or veganism, I created a very delicious sandwich. This
sandwich was made of fresh ground chuck, smothered and slow cooked to
eliminate all fat and it was well seasoned to please. It was then placed on an
extra large toasted and buttered bun with cheese. The bun was dressed with a
fully manicured salad with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and celery topped with
thousand island salad dressing.
This exclusive sandwich was first introduced to the public in a night club. I have
absolutely no recall of a single dissatisfied customer! The Mighty Muncher
(T.M.M.) became so popular until many of my friends began to call me The
Mighty Muncher. Since then multiple changes have taken place in my life and I
have been re-educated to accept an entirely different dietary knowledge and
perspective. A strong desire for good health and longevity drove me away from
a meat-eating diet to vegetarianism to veganism.
As you may imagine it was not easy to dismiss the Mighty Muncher altogether!
So after meditation and much prayer a vision and a plan began its
development. I begin to experiment with patties made from TVP/soy granules
until I was satisfied I had discovered a vegetarian meat patty that was
compatible in looks and taste to the ground chuck that originated with the
Mighty Muncher. This experimentation process started a number of years ago
and over the time period it has developed into an extremely delicious vegan
sandwich that has acquired the name Mighty Muncher.
